Customer-centricity, business-focused etc. are great words to say. Modern day leadership coaches and gurus also tell CIOs to be extrovert, customer centric and what not. But the reality is not as fantastic. A typical CIO is not too bothered about behaving like a 'good' salesman who gets closer to his customers before selling anything to him/her. Can CIOs afford to be introvert, just keep the lights on and still surive?
