"The global changes are today's reality...a perfect storm brewing. This is a C-level issue not just an IT issue that needs to be dealt with across the organization...the CIO could be the person to lead the charge."

"The three top competencies for CIOs are: leadership, contribution to business strategy, and talent management. CIOs have to convert their teams as themselves so they all have new capabilities."

The Center for CIO Leadership takes a fresh approach to research by working with a network of academic researchers and leading CIO and CXO practitioners to develop actionable insights. In collaboration with its advisors and partners the Center identifies leading articles, research papers, books, and journals that address the most pressing challenges facing CIOs today.

This website features a selection of research in a particular area of interest every 6-8 weeks on the following schedule:

Leadership  (October – December 2007)
Labor and Talent (January – February 2008)
Metrics and Measurement (March – May 2008)
Innovation (June – August 2008)
Strategy (August – October 2008)
